The weather couldn't have been better, mid-70's, clear skies and no humidity - which made it nice to pull up to the winery and see that we would be enjoying the nice weather in beautiful surroundings:

Westport Rivers offers two tours on Saturdays, at 1 pm and 3 pm. They both leave from the main office/store where you can also buy Westport Rivers wines and beer from their sister company, the Buzzard Bay Brewing company:

Our tour took us in front of the working grape vines:
After the free 45-minute tour came the fun part, the tasting! Seven dollars gets you a souvenir wine glass and a taste of six of their wines - three sparkling and three white wines:

While Amy and Phu found portions of the tour boring, they perked up at the tasting:

Andrew and I also had fun chatting with the guide and trying to distinguish the differences between wines we were tasting:
Although we didn't end up liking any of the wines enough to buy a bottle to bring home (I'm blaming this on my unrefined wine palate), it was a lot of fun to see a new part of Massachusetts while enjoying the summer weather.
