Full dislosure, I didn't make or decorate these cupcakes:
Andrew's sister Amanda made them for her assistant's birthday on Friday. Knowing my love for baking, and for fun cupcakes in general, she asked for decorating idea. One of my favorite and relatively easy designs, courtesy of a Cook's Country article from a few years back, is using gumdrops and marshmallows to form daisies. You cut the marshmallow lengthwise into "petals" and voila, daisies!
I like Amanda's design even more since she used Jelly Belly raspberries for the center - I think they make the daisies even more life-like.
