Today's date (05/07/09) with its three consecutive odd numbers makes it a special "odd" day.
Apparently, having three consecutive odd numbers in a date happens only six times a century!

And as a side note to interesting dates, these types of things always make me think of my friend Z's bridal shower last year. It occurred on 06/07/08 at the Nine Zero hotel. Too clever and her man of honor, Tharon, did a great job in getting the invites for it.
