Happy New Year!

There's nothing like chilling your GIGANTIC bottle of champagne (technically Asti, the favorite of Italian grannies everywhere and me) in freshly fallen snow.



Happy New Year to everyone! Andrew and I just had dinner at our favorite Korean restaurant which is within walking distance of the house. We have our pajamas on, the champagne chilled and ready to go and two DVD's to watch. My perfect idea of a good New Year's Eve. Hope you all are warm and comfortable where ever you are celebrating!

Champagne (Cava) To End The Weekend

Courtesy of seeing Liz and Adam on Friday, Andrew and I had another engagement gift to toast the weekend with - Rosé cava!



One of the things I remembered most about when Liz and Adam were engaged was how much champagne they drank. I mean this in a good way. As they put it, they felt that champagne shouldn't be saved for just special occasions and should be enjoyed on a regular basis. I full-heartedly agree, since I don't drink most wines and tend to enjoy the sweeter or bubbly stuff, such as Reislings and champagne/prosecco/cava.

Andrew and I toasted each other with the Rosé cava - a perfect ending to a wonderful weekend!
